The ONE question that gave me clarity (when I was struggling)
Have you ever dreamed of doing something but ‘life’ kept getting in the way? (Or that’s what you told yourself.)
But that ‘thing’ sits on your shoulder.
It takes up space in your brain. Yet another open loop.
That annoying little gremlin keeps saying ‘haven’t you done it yet?’
Me too.
For seven years now I’ve been called to write a book about leadership. I started writing it back in 2017 but it soon felt like too big a task.
I wrote diligently but it didn’t excite me.
And if it didn’t excite me it would probably have bored the pants off you!
I know how to write. I’ve been writing articles and blog posts for years. I’ve had articles published in newspapers and magazines and I’m a columnist writing about Leader as Coach for Coaching at Work magazine.
Knowing ‘how’ to write wasn’t my challenge.
Knowing what to put in and what to leave out was my challenge. I didn’t want to write War and Peace.
So I shelved the whole idea.
But that nagging voice didn’t go away.
Last year it became a noise I couldn’t ignore.
And as the saying goes: ‘When the Student is Ready, The Teacher will Appear’.
And she did!
An author and businesswoman who has written business bestsellers.
An author who gives honest guidance, advice and feedback.
Just the kind of ‘teacher’ I like.
And she asked me one question:
‘What do the senior leaders you work with want to change?’
Well that was easy.
My work is an ideal match for you if:
- You’re in a senior leadership role
- You’re good at what you do and you care
- You want to make a bigger difference without changing who you are
- You want to lead more and firefight less
- You want more self-confidence and less self-doubt
- You want to influence others quickly and easily
- You want to feel leaderlike and be taken seriously at the top table
- You want to communicate clearly, succinctly and less ambiguously
- You want your team to flourish.
- You want to drop the things that drain your time and energy.
- You want to do all this without working harder and longer.
‘Write about how you help them to do that, then!’ said my wise teacher (a good coach, teacher or mentor always helps you see what you can’t.)
If all this describes you, and you’re looking to get on your ‘A’ game in 2025 without working harder or longer, I’d love to get the book into your hands.
In fact, I’m so motivated to get this book into the hands of the leaders that need it that I’ll be launching it on Amazon on 9 January at a very special launch price (99p only for the Kindle/digital version) for 48 hours only.
If you’d like to be notified when the book’s available at the launch price and get your hands on a special bonus click on this link and I’ll add you to my Book Buyers VIP List. And I’ll send you all the details very soon.
Here’s to your success.
