Visualising Future You: Leadership Growth starts here

| 21 February 2025

Where do you see yourself six months from now? Visualising the future version of you is a powerful way to align your actions with your aspirations.

How to Connect with Future You:

  1. Picture Your Success: Spend time imagining the best, happiest, most successful version of you 6 months from now.  What do you see, hear and feel when visualising that version of you? The more detailed you can get, the better.
  2. Identify Daily Habits: Write down one small Future You practice—and start doing it today. For example, “Future Me prioritises strategic thinking daily.”
  3. Reflect Weekly: At the end of each week, ask, “Am I moving closer to the version of me I want to become? What can I celebrate this week, and what’s one thing I can build on for next week?”

Start building that bridge today and see what shifts for you.

This week’s activity: Start with tip one.  Write something down every day for a week until you have a clear picture of Future You. Write it in the present tense: ‘In 6 months from now I am….. I have……’.  Your brain will start finding ways to help you turn your dreams and wishes into reality.

None of this means that you are not good enough as you are. But we all have goals, dreams, aspirations.  Give them time to emerge and grow!

P.S. When you make a decision to create the ‘future’ version of you you’ll start to see opportunities everywhere.  I dig deep into this on the upcoming Lead with Confidence programme (starting in April). Click here for the details.
